Detection Settings
Value
Explanation
Detection Area
Detection Area Definitions
:
Format: lens, window
lens: 0=right, 1=left.
window: can be defined as a rectangle as well as a polygon.
For a detailed description of window definitions and additional variables, please refer to the
help page
.
Note:
If no detection area is provided, the camera determines the area autonomously.
Note:
All user-defined coordinates are relative to the entire sensor area. The origin (0,0) corresponds to the lower left corner, (1279,959) to the upper right corner (if the image is
mirrored/rotated
the coordinate system changes accordingly).
Detection areas can also be defined by Shift-click+click in the live image and pressing
Add detection area
.
Show Detection Area
Mounting Height
Mounting Height
:
Mounting height of the camera [150..1000 cm].
Tilt Angle
Tilt angle of the camera.
:
Configure the tilt angle of the camera in degrees. Installation on/in the ceiling corresponds to -90°, installation on/in the wall corresponds to 0°.
Minimum Object Size
Minimum Object Size
:
Minimum size of objects in pixels [250..250000]. The size can also be defined by setting a rectangle inside the outline of the object to be detected.
The minimum object size can also be defined by Shift-click+click in the live image and pressing
Set minimum object size
.
Light and Shadow
Artificial light, no shadows
Sparse sunlight, blurred shadows
Heavy sunlight, well-defined shadows
Custom setup
Light and Shadow
:
The quality of the analysis depends on the light and shadow conditions in the detection areas. Select one of the predefined setups or configure a custom setup.
Constant illumination
Slowly changing illumination
Fast changing illumination
Illumination Conditions
:
The quality of the analysis also depends on how illumination changes. Note that "Constant illumination" and "Slowly changing illumination" allow further adjustment of shadow detection.
Coarse structure/dark background
Fine structure/light background
Shadow Detection
:
Depending on the light and shadow conditions, shadow detection can be adjusted further.
Low
Medium
High
Shadow Detection Sensitivity
:
Set the level of sensitivity for shadow detection on fine structures or light background.
Sensitivity
Detection Sensitivity
:
The higher the value, the greater the difference between the object and the background has to be in order to be detected [1..100]. This option has no effect when using the "Heavy sunlight, well-defined shadows" or the "Fast changing illumination" settings.
